Founded in 2014, Caveness Voice is an independent vocal studio offering 1:1 vocal + career coaching. Specializing in contemporary vocal technique rooted in a deep understanding of vocal science, physiology, and the real-world demands of being a professional touring + performing vocalist in the music business. I started Caveness Voice out of a desire to reimagine how we approach + talk about the voice - so much vocal technique is misunderstood and I firmly believe that everyone can sing, access their own unique voice, and use it the way they want if given the proper (and personal to them) tools to unearth + empower it.

I’m not your classical voice teacher: I’m here to be your no-bullshit vocal coach, a singer’s-singer with the chops + background in the trenches as a working musician, in addition to formal education (Berklee College of Music, Musician’s Institute) and 20 years of researching, writing about, and studying hundreds of voices.

I’m passionate about demystifying the voice, and making it more accessible to all. I believe our voices are our birthright, and there’s so much more behind accessing our voices than just learning cookie-cutter concepts. I’m particularly driven to work with working musicians + bands, LGBTQ+ folks and anyone who may have faced vocal dysmorphia throughout their life. The voice is the most personal + profound instrument there is, and to me, the stories behind our voices are the key to unlocking them for ourselves. To be able to empower people to find + wield their voice is the highest honor to me.
